Overview
What is physical therapy?

Physical therapists are health care providers who are experts in examination and treatment of problems that affect peoples’ abilities to move and function. Because people of all ages need to move and function, the physical therapy department works with patients and clients from newborns to the very aged and in all types of settings, from hospitals and outpatient clinics to the home; from schools to the workplace. The physical therapy department offers a range of therapies for muscle and soft tissue injuries, bone and joint injuries, and post-surgical therapies.
