A speech language pathologist can help you or your family member who is experiencing
difficulties with his or her voice. Voice disorders can include chronic hoarseness,
pain while speaking, and inability to vary loudness or pitch. Voice disorders
can be caused by many different conditions, including GERD (Gastro esophageal
Reflux Disease), poor vocal hygiene/habits, and allergies. A speech language
pathologist can provide therapy to improve vocal quality and ease of talking.
If you or a family member is experiencing a voice disorder, contact your primary
provider or a speech language pathologist for help.
