It is always in your best interest to contact your insurance company prior to a medical procedure. Vernon Memorial Healthcare has a unique arrangement in that a majority of surgical procedures are performed by Gundersen Lutheran surgeons. Vernon Memorial Healthcare bills for the surgery and facility charge, while Gundersen Lutheran bills for the professional component of the surgery. Vernon Memorial Healthcare and Gundersen Lutheran are separate entities and in some cases do not have the same contractual arrangements with insurance companies. Vernon Memorial Healthcare accepts most major insurance plans. These plans include the following providers:
