VMH is the only drug and alcohol testing site in the area to offer services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Individuals and/or businesses interested in utilizing this service will find easy access in the lab on the ground level of Vernon Memorial Hospital. Employee drug testing, pre-employment drug testing for new employees, random drug testing, post accident testing and reasonable suspicion testing can all be performed at VMH.
The drug and alcohol tests are performed by the VMH Respiratory Therapy Department and are legal collections; meaning tests and specimens are defensible in a court of law. Two main categories of testing are performed:
- Drug/urine collections and breathalyzer testing
- Instant drug/alcohol testing for companies that are not covered by DOT requirements.
