The VMH Transplant Support Group is for anyone in the community who has received an organ transplant or is on a transplant waiting list.
If you are waiting for an organ transplant, you know the stress that accompanies the wait. But you don’t have to wait alone! You are invited to join the group and communicate with others who truly understand your anxieties and fears because they share them. Express your feelings in an open, nonjudgmental, informal setting. Learn how others are coping with similar concerns. Learn from those who have been through the transplant experience. Make new friends and share laughs.
Family members are welcome too! Spouses, children, and siblings are encouraged to attend as they are able. Meetings are held on the third Monday of every month from 1:00-3:00 pm in the hospital community rooms. The support group meetings are free of charge and are open to anyone who has received a transplant or is on the waiting list at any transplant center.
