Sports Medicine

Licensed Athletic Trainers on staff at Vernon Memorial Healthcare’s Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine Department, work under the direction of a physician to help local athletes reduce athletic injuries. Athletic trainers educate athletes by teaching good training habits, such as stretching and strengthening. Athletic trainers also work with injured athletes, wrapping injured limbs, ankles and wrists. VMH athletic trainers cover high school practices and sporting events in the Viroqua, Westby, Kickapoo, and La Farge school districts.
