Bonnie Anderson, Manager of Cardiopulmonary Diagnostics and Rehabilitation

Bonnie (Bagstad) Anderson, MS, CES, RCEP, EIM Credential Level III, FAACVPR is originally from Westby, Wisconsin. She received her B.S. Degrees in 1980 in Health Education and Art Education. She obtained her Master’s Degree from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse Exercise and Sports Science Program in Human Performance - Cardiac Rehabilitation in 1990.

Her professional certifications include the American College of Sports Medicine Clinical Exercise Specialist, Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist, Exercise is Medicine Level III Credential , American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Provider,  Heart Saver - Basic Life Support and Heart Saver - AED. S

She is a member of the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR), the Wisconsin Society of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Health and Rehabilitation (WISCPHR), the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), and the ACSM Clinical Exercise Physiology Association (CEPA).  She has served as a Regional Representative for the Wisconsin Society of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (WISCVPR); has been an active member of numerous committees as part of the organization’s Board of Directors; and served as President of that organization in 2003.  Bonnie received the Award of Excellence from WISCVPR in 2005.

Bonnie has also served on several American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR) committees including Membership, Leadership, the ITP Taskforce, the Professional Certification Committee, Registry, and Program Certification.  She is currently serving on the AACVPR Board as Director of the Clinical Services Committee which is comprised of the Program Certification/Recertification Committee, the Registry Task Force, and the Clinical Applications Committee.  In 2012, Bonnie received the Presidential Recognition Award for her work directing the National Program Certification Process.


In addition to being a visiting lecturer at both the Winona State University and the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse Cardiac Rehab Programs, Bonnie has also been an invited speaker at numerous national and state affiliate conferences. 
She also facilitates an active Heart and Other Organ Transplant Support Group.  Bonnie was honored to receive the 2011 Wisconsin Rural Health Ambassador Award. 
Bonnie began her career at VMH in May 1986.  Current Position:  Manager of Cardiopulmonary Diagnostics and Rehabilitation.
