Cindy Ostrem, MS, ACSM ES, RCEP, is originally from Hayfield, Minnesota. She received her B.A. Degree in Health and Wellness in 1982 from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota and received her Master’s Degree in Adult Fitness – Cardiac Rehabilitation in 1985 from the University of Wisconsin – LaCrosse.
Cindy is an American College of Sports Medicine Certified Exercise Specialist and a Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist. She is American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Heartsaver – Basic Life Support and Heartsaver – AED certified. Cindy is a member of the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation, the Wisconsin Society of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Health and Rehabilitation (WISCPHR), and the American College of Sports Medicine. She has served as Northwestern Wisconsin Regional Representative to the WISCPHR, has been a board member, currently is co-editor of WISCPHR’s bi-monthly newsletter and is serving as a member of the WISCPHR Day on the Hill committee.
Cindy has two years of cardiac catheterization lab experience. She has worked in the field of Cardiac Rehabilitation since 1988 and has been a part of the VMH Cardiopulmonary Diagnostics and Rehabilitation staff since June of 1992. Cindy and her husband live in Westby and enjoy golf.
