Eric Thunstedt, Exercise Physiologist

Eric Thunstedt, M.A., ACSM-ES, ACSM- RCEP, is originally from Alden, Minnesota. He received a B.A. degree in Exercise Science from Buena Vista University, Storm Lake, IA in 1998 and his Masters (M.A.) degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology / Cardiac Rehabilitation from Minnesota State University, Mankato, MN in 2004. 

Eric’s professional certifications include the American College of Sports Medicine – Exercise Specialist (ACSM-ES) certification, the American College of Sports Medicine – Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist (ACSM-RCEP) certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider, Heartsaver – Basic Life Support and Heartsaver – AED. 

He is a member of the Wisconsin Society of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Health and Rehabilitation (WISCPHR). He also serves as the Exercise Physiology Consultant on the Diabetes Community Education Team at Vernon Memorial Healthcare (VMH), the HEART Center’s Cardiopulmonary Diagnostics and Rehabilitation Internship Coordinator, and is a member of the speaker’s bureau through VMH. Eric has many years of personal training experience and has corporate fitness management experience. He has been employed with VMH since 2004.
