VMH Approved Masks (Effective 2/18/21)

February 18, 2021

Effective February 18, VMH will require all visitors, patients, and staff to wear approved masks. While VMH has strictly enforced the wearing of masks throughout the pandemic, VMH now has a list of approved masks in order to protect all patients and staff.

Please see the poster above for details. Approved masks will include surgical masks, N95 masks, cloth masks, and gaiters (must be dual layer or folded over and still cover mouth and nose). Masks should fit snugly over the nose and mouth and under the chin. There should be no gaps around the sides.

Masks not allowed at VMH include any valved/ventilated masks, "flip top" masks, and face shields (without an additional approved mask).

Anyone entering a VMH facility without an approved mask will have a mask provided to wear; any person not willing to wear an approved mask will not be permitted to enter the facility. VMH reserves the right to modify the list of approved masks at any time based on recommendations from the CDC and the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, and also reserves the right to allow exceptions if there is a valid medical reason.

Thank you for your cooperation.
