The Friends of Vernon Health provide vital service to Vernon Health and its patients through fundraising, and community support.

Our efforts help fund:

  • Scholarships for students pursuing medical careers
  • Capital equipment for hospital and clinic use
  • Newborn gift baskets with handmade burp cloths and bibs
  • Community projects like school supply drives and Toys for Tots
  • Friends of Vernon Health also assist with staff education, training exercises, and Vernon Health sponsored events.

Partners of WHA includes 5 districts, 33 member hospital groups, and nearly 3,000 volunteers across Wisconsin.

Lovelights Trees

A Heartwarming Holiday Tradition of Remembrance, Honor, and Community Support.

The Friends of Vernon Health Love Lights Tree is a cherished holiday tradition where you can purchase a symbolic light on a beautifully lit tree to honor a living loved one or remember someone who has passed. Every light represents love, connection, and gratitude—while your generous donation directly supports vital local healthcare initiatives at Vernon Health.

How It Works

  • Symbolic Lights: Make a donation just $5 per name. Names are displayed during the season.
  • Different Light Colors: White lights glow in loving memory of those who’ve passed, while colored lights shine brightly to celebrate and honor those still with us.
  • Support for the Community: Funds raised fuel essential programs, including:
    • Patient care needs and community health services
    • Scholarships for local students entering healthcare careers
    • Volunteer enrichment and hospital equipment upgrades

How to Participate

  • Pick up a Love Lights brochure located throughout the Hospital or at Gift Shop.
  • Complete the form and return it with your donation:
    • Cash or check: Drop off at the Volunteer Desk or Gift Shop
    • Download the form at vmh.org, complete it, and mail with check to the address below
  • Specify your honoree — include the name(s), whether it’s in honor or in memory, and any special message you’d like.
